Twitch wheel spinner and lotto ball picker

Viewers type !join in chat to enter, then you spin a wheel or draw a lotto ball live on stream. Free, fair and nothing to install.

0 entries Click the picker, press the button, or hit Ctrl+Enter

Tip: repeat a name on several lines to give it extra chances.

How many entries: the wheel stays easy to read up to about 50 names and shows names up to 200. The lotto machine holds up to 60 balls at once. Bigger lists work in both, and every entry keeps an equal chance.

How to run a Twitch giveaway with a wheel

  1. Open the Twitch chat tab, type your channel name and connect.
  2. Tell viewers to type !join in chat. Each name is added once.
  3. Copy the OBS browser source link and add it as a Browser Source so the picker shows on stream.
  4. Type !spin in chat or press Spin. The winner pops up on screen and in your results list.
  5. Remove the winner and spin again for second and third place.

Wheel or lotto balls

The wheel spinner is the classic: every entry gets a slice, and the pointer lands on the winner. The lotto ball picker turns each entry into a ball in a glass machine, air jets tumble them, and the winner's ball rises out of the top like a TV lottery draw.

Finish every pick with a win effect: confetti, an explosion, a lightning strike, a gold coin shower or fireworks.

Streamers use it for

  • Sub and follower giveaways picked straight from chat
  • Choosing the next game, map, challenge or punishment
  • Picking viewers to join a match or squad
  • Raffles at the end of charity and subathon streams

Questions

How do I pick a random winner from Twitch chat?

Open the Twitch chat tab, type your channel name and press Connect. Viewers who type !join in chat are added to the wheel automatically, once each. Then press Spin, or type !spin in chat yourself or as a mod, and the winner is picked at random.

How do I add the wheel to OBS?

Copy the OBS browser source link from the Twitch chat tab and add it in OBS as a Browser Source, about 600 by 600 pixels. It shows only the wheel or ball machine on a transparent background, collects entries from chat by itself, and never shows ads.

Is the picker actually random?

Yes. The winner is picked with the browser's cryptographic random generator, the same kind used for passwords, using a method that gives every entry exactly the same chance. The animation is played afterwards to land on that winner, so it never decides the result.

What is a lotto ball picker?

It draws a winner the way a TV lottery does. Every entry becomes a ball in a glass machine, air jets tumble them, and the winning ball rises out of the top. It is the same fair pick as the wheel with a different show. It also has its own page.

Is it free, and do I need to install anything?

It is free and runs in your browser. Reading public Twitch chat doesn't need a login, and the overlay link works in OBS, Streamlabs and StreamElements.

Can I limit entries to subscribers or give someone extra chances?

Tick Subscribers only in the Twitch chat tab to accept only subscribers. To give someone extra chances, add their name on more than one line, since each line is one entry.

Does it work with Discord, YouTube or Rumble?

Twitch chat entry works now. Discord, YouTube and Rumble are planned. Until then you can paste names into the Entries box from anywhere.
