About TumbleDraw

TumbleDraw is a small independent site that makes random picking fun to watch and easy to trust.

It started as a giveaway tool for Twitch streamers: viewers type !join in chat, and the streamer spins a wheel or draws a lotto ball live on stream. The same tools turned out to be just as handy in classrooms, offices and at home, so the site now has pages for each of those uses.

What's here

For streamers there are guides to adding the wheel to OBS and running a fair Twitch giveaway.

Everything is free and runs in your browser, with nothing to install and no account needed.

How the picks work

Every TumbleDraw tool picks the result first and animates second. The winner comes from your browser's cryptographic random number generator (the Web Crypto API, the same source browsers use for encryption keys). We use a method called rejection sampling so that every entry has exactly the same chance, with no small bias toward the top of the list.

Only then does the wheel spin or the balls tumble, and the animation is set up to land on the winner that was already picked. That means the speed of a spin, the size of a ball or where it sits in the machine can't change the outcome.

Your data

Your lists and settings are stored in your own browser, not on our servers. Twitch chat is read directly from Twitch's public chat by your browser. The privacy policy has the details, including how ads on the website work.

No ads on your stream

The website is supported by ads, but the OBS overlay never shows them. Whatever appears on your stream is only the picker.

What's coming

Discord, YouTube and Rumble chat entry, more draw styles such as a horse race and a plinko board, custom wheel images, and verifiable draws with a public record for giveaways that need proof.
